Sharing our journey...
Life is not unlike the challenge of hiking up a beautiful mountain, trying and exhausting, yet thankfully we come across peaceful meadows that are quiet and beautiful. While the meadows are often short and sweet (and the mountain can be tough) there is something even better waiting for us in the experience of pushing ourselves, putting one foot in front of the other, learning and growing stronger, willing ourselves to reach the top of the next mountain. And often what a view!! The huge breath of fresh air, the excitement of the accomplishment and most definitely the presence of God found in His creation.
How we love hiking, and how much more often I wish we could go! With three boys born in three years, it took us awhile to get back out there. With two we still made time but then when number three came along we didn't get out as much. Chad still made sure he got plenty of fishing in for his sanity, and the boys and I never quit exploring whether it was our woodsy backyard or the nearby river. But then things got much easier with a 7, 5 and 4 year old! We were set to be biking, hiking and camping all summer!
Surprise! Our foster to adopt plans went much more quickly than we anticipated. On May 15th twin baby girls were born and we brought them home from the hospital on May 20th. We're thrilled and a bit exhausted but loving every minute of the adventure, looking forward to what God has to teach through the mountains and meadows in our near future. We hope you enjoy this little blog where we'll keep you posted on our family of seven! :o)
